The Center for Women and Development (CWD), subordinated to the Central Vietnam Women’s Union, was established o­n 1^st July 2002. It has the function to support comprehensive development of the Vietnamese women, including professional, physical and aesthetic capacities. Accordingly CWD is focusing o­n the three following tasks:

-To serve socio-political activities of the Vietnam Women’s Union in its domestic and international relations.

-To provide training, counseling and development support, including women business development services and support to the disadvantaged groups, such as women and children subjected to trafficking and domestic violence.

-To provide hotel, restaurant, health care and beauty services to women and general population.
