The Center for Women and Development (CWD), subordinated to the Central Vietnam Women’s Union, was established on 1st July 2002. It has the function to support comprehensive development of the Vietnamese women, including professional, physical and aesthetic capacities. Accordingly CWD is focusing on the three following tasks:
-To serve socio-political activities of the Vietnam Women’s Union in its domestic and international relations.
-To provide training, counseling and development support, including women business development services and support to the disadvantaged groups, such as women and children subjected to trafficking and domestic violence.
-To provide hotel, restaurant, health care and beauty services to women and general population.
