Vietnam’s women football team wins at Olympic qualifiers

The Vietnamese women’s football squad defeated Hong Kong 4-0 at their first match at the first Olympic qualifying round in Chinese Taipei on March 18.

 In a match played later, Taiwan drew with Myamar 1-1. On March 19, Vietnam will compete with the strong team from Myamar.

As announced by FIFA on January 18, the Vietnamese women advanced two places in the first quarter and ranked 32nd in the world with 1617 marks. They are placed 6th in the Asian region and first in Southeast Asia.
