It is a great pleasure to congratulate the Vietnam Women’s Union on the occasion of the 11th Vietnam National Women’s Congress.
I do not need to highlight that the Vietnam Women’s Union is a committed and respected organisation. Through the years, whether in war, defending the sovereignty of Vietnam, or in peace, constructing a better world for women and men in Vietnam, the VWU has been at the forefront, leading by example, being a stalwart of dignity.
One of its successful activities lead by the VWU nowadays is an innovative community-based organisation called intergenerational self-help clubs (ISHCs), which have a tremendous impact on the quality of older women’s and men’s lives, and also of their families and communities across Vietnam.
We are proud to have been a partner to the VWU for nearly twenty years. We cherish working with you, not only for your hard working spirit but also for your enthusiastic, happy and committed approach to development. I am confident that we will continue working together for years to come.
